Hi Olivia and En! Tell us a bit about Palermo Atelier and how it all began!
- Palermo Atelier is a vintage boutique and showroom located in Palermo, Sicily. We offer a wide range of carefully selected items, from clothing to interior décor. Our specialization lies in the beauty of Murano glass and our love for the captivating aesthetics of the 70s. Olivia started her first vintage boutique in 2008. After moving to Palermo ten years ago, we discovered so many beautiful things that we felt compelled to rescue and share with others. It became natural for us to work together and expand our business to include interior design, and that's when Palermo Atelier was created.

Your Instagram is not only filled with beautiful second hand but also with stunning imagery of your surroundings! In what ways are you inspired by the Italian aestetics?
- The environment here in Palermo, with its beautiful buildings and vibrant colors, is a strong source of inspiration for us. We love to incorporate the magnificence often found in Italian aesthetics into our images. At the same time, we infuse a hint of Scandinavian influence when creating our setups or curating our collections. It's this unique blend of styles that gives our work a distinctive character.

What are your views on the future of second hand?
- Second hand is the future! It feels inevitable in many ways. Not only is the quality often better, but with increased awareness of sustainability, interest is growing as well. Choosing second hand means not only gaining access to unique and personal items but also contributing to more sustainable consumption. Why settle for something everyone else has when you can have something unique that doesn't negatively impact the environment?

Can you tell us about the collaboration between Palermo Atelier and APLACE?
- The collaboration with APLACE has been a fantastic experience! We share a common passion for unique design and have worked together to create three different exciting and inspiring Pre-Loved collections. It's been so fun to see what we've been able to accomplish together!
